Here at Newcastle Wildflower Nursery, we pride ourselves on our wide range of beautiful and healthy Australian native plants for all purposes, such as:

Banksias
There are not many things as impressive as a beautiful Banksia in bloom. The amazing flowers are a great food source for a range of birds and insects. Banksias make a great option for both the garden or for pots.
Bush Tucker
Bush Tucker plants have been gaining a lot of interest in the past few years. Why not try a native alternative to the classical herbs and spices. Grow them for use in the kitchen, making scented soaps and candles or for adding an aromatic element to your garden. We keep Finger limes, native fruit trees, Ginger, Lemon Myrtle and a range of other herbs and spices.
Grevilleas
We keep a wide range of these iconic and incredibly attractive plants, from low groundcovers to small shrubs and trees. They come in all different colours, shapes and sizes, with new varieties becoming available all the time. Grevilleas are fantastic plants for adding year-round colour and vibrancy to your garden as well as attracting a range of birds and bees.
Gum Trees
There are lots of different gum trees available for your garden, from large trees to small growing mallees or anything in-between. The Corymbia ficifolia varieties are incredibly popular, available in a number of different colours and sizes making them the perfect feature tree that will be the envy of all your neighbours.
Kangaroo Paw
Who doesn’t love Kangaroo Paw in flower. Available in a range of different varieties from the tall and tough, to the smaller dwarf sizes. Kangaroo Paw make a great feature in the garden or for cut flower use.
Lilly Pilly
These are our most popular hedging or screening plants. We keep a range that has been tried and tested, known to grow well in the local area. Lilly Pillies range from small to medium sized shrubs, to larger street trees. Another great feature of Lilly Pillies is that a few them provide edible fruits suitable for use in salads or made into a sauce or jam.
Rainforest & Shade Plants
Looking for something for that shady spot in the garden? We have a few native ferns, rainforest trees and other species that love those shady areas. A number of these plants are also suited for indoor use too.
Water Plants
We have native plants suitable for use in outdoor ponds and dams. Also available are native fish, whether you want them to eat the mozzie wrigglers in your pond or just for show. Adding a water source to your garden is a fantastic resource which will be loved by all kinds of wildlife.
